At Immune Recovery Foundation (IRF), we understand that the diagnosis of a chronic disease often results in situations and emotions that deeply impact a person’s life.  Visits to the doctor, complex treatment regimens and periodic hospitalizations make daily life harder to manage.  Financial burdens caused by medical appointments, prescription drugs, insurance costs, and other out of pocket healthcare cost may strain already limited financial resources. And feelings of depression, fear and anxiety may make it hard to meet day-to-day needs, to plan and to hope for the future.  To a person living with a life-threatening disease, these challenges are often all too real.

IRF seeks to empower our patient community to meet these challenges through comprehensive, effective programs and a knowledgeable, caring core of staff and volunteer ambassadors.  We value our reputation as a responsible, responsive organization with a holistic approach to improving the lives of underinsured patients.

Minority Patient Community

Despite significant progress to narrow the gap in health outcomes, minority patients continue to suffer from vast disparities in access to care. Black health and other communities of color are also disproportionately affected by chronic diseases, including obesity, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and HIV/AIDS, to name just a few. The Immune Recovery Foundation Patience Assistance Program is a vital tool to help ease the burden of expensive medical treatment. The program provides medical financial assistance to help qualified patients afford prescription copay, diagnostic testing, insurance premiums, and the cost of medical travel.
